A Nano Writer

I'm pleased to announce that I got two books (and another on the way) that you can read online and turn the pages like a real book. I got another book for children that will soon be featured on Amazon.

This year I decided to participate at the NANOWRIMO, for those not familiar with this nanostuff, that's a National Novel Writing Competition. If you are asking why would I enter in such a self-torture ordeal, I just have only one answer: It simply gives me the jest to know that we were so many doing the same insane thinking, and yet we keep writing on and on. It's interesting to see how many people got registered this year, numbers not always mean much, it is the old dilemma, quantity versus quality, but they don't lie either: there must mean something to have a lot to people feeling that they are up to something and that something must be finished in a month. Even if for that there would be any literal value. Just the fact to go and act, it's worth a million words. Hey, and if in the end you didn't write those crazy 50,000 words?? Who cares? You were the only one to blame for, and discipline is best learned by practicing it. Try it next year, or maybe you will never be a novelist of some never-to-be-a-novel deal, but I guarantee one hundred percent that if you at least wrote a page or two, and you can read that to yourself, you may find out things in you that are just priceless.

Le Coq Sportif

Le coq loves the Olympics

The Olympic Games started and I am already mesmerized by so many events in and outside the television set. Imagine joining the whole world together to celebrate a happy time and right then make a war. It sounds totally surreal that in time where all nations are battling the good fight (sports in general are supposed to make you feel good even if you loose it) you gain the knowledge that there is a war inside a country. My condolence rises and goes to all the Georgians, all the widows, sons and daughters who just became orphans, and the numbers increasing of people suffering in the world augmenting each and every day. Sometimes my heart just wants to explode with all that, but I know I would be of any service to all if I keep sadness in my heart. So I just leave a prayer in the air, hoping it will float on other people's heart and give relief to the ones who suffer most.

Besides taking a look or two on the games, I've been busy working on my audiobooks, arranging some new tunes, composing music and songs along with my tales for kids. It's been fun! Hope I will soon share that here to you and make a heart or two happy too.

Don't keep walking in your life with sadness in your heart.
Live each day with happiness and make it a brand new start.

Nao atravesse a vida carregando tristeza em seu coracao.
Viva cada dia com alegria e faca disso uma linda cancao.

The World as A Cosmic Ballet

myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics

The lunar eclipse started around ten after ten PM and it lasted for over two hours. A shadow advanced slowly on the lower right side of the moon. And I was amazed on how long it took when it arrived to its peak. At exactly midnight the Earth completely covered the moon, making it appear as a slightly gloomy red ball. Then after a half hour the light shone on the right of the upper part of the moon, while I waited to see the brightness coming from the bottom on the same place where the shade first came in. Then I realized that it was actually like the Yin/Yang symbol, or the male/female icons, as it started as a cross in the lower part, departing gradually and softly from the darkening of the lower surface, giving space to the shade and then, like an arrow, pushing its way as the light appeared again, on the same side, but right up, all so very well balanced in its own logical way. A great cosmic symphony, or rather an amazing Ballet to the naked eye. There was a star with Saturn accompanying the moon in this important transition, as if they were assisting the natural satellite on giving birth. Also there was another star a little bit further south and the three spacial spheres formed a triangle and enveloping the moon in this huge embrace. I did record it in the camera like a photo shooting. As the moon entered in its full eclipse, I heard in the news that somewhere over the Hawaiian Islands they have succeeded on shooting down a dying satellite propelled by hydrazine, a standard rocket fuel that is toxic when inhaled and mortal if in contact with humans and it was in danger of falling on Earth. Hopefully not so many debris will come down on our heads now... not so many, at least, as the news continues to bring up more stories of shootings...
Imparting the effects of the moon,
which peacefully reflects our doom,
here is the time for us to reinstate.
In spite of all the thorns to mourn,
let's hope for a ceasefire to reborn,
now rather than late.
So to refresh my own heart
I picked from the start
the eclipse to gestate:

Patch me with you, can!

Here is an alternative use for those recycling cans:

Take a large piece of recycled paper and with a sponge embedded with coloured ink, paint the board with the design of your choice and see the effect of it over the paper: it will get a nice textured surface. When it's already dried make four circles, using a can to trace the circumference over the board, and making sure the borders are large enough to be able to fold. Then cut the circles, insert the cans under them and bend the borders. With the circles that were already taken from the board bend them in semicircles and place each one of them in every corner, making sure there is glue enough to make them fit on the surface. Now fill the cans with earth and plant some seeds. Voila! You've got a new decoration for your garden.
